Genomics of Brain Disorders Hybrid Conference

  • Wellcome Genome Campus Saffron Walden, England, CB10 1SA United Kingdom (map)

Join a global community of scientists and clinicians to explore the technological advances that are informing research into many psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases.

Discussion will focus on the cross-disciplinary techniques, including genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and next-generation sequencing approaches, that are improving our ability to detect the pre-disposing loci of specific brain disorders. From population studies, to emerging tools for disease modelling and analysis, we will highlight the latest innovations inspiring solutions for the clinical treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

The meeting will cover a variety of exciting topics, including:

  • Modelling disease

  • Scalable omics

  • Methods of population studies

  • Using genomics to drive therapeutics

Through keynote lectures, poster presentations, and lightning talks, you will deepen your understanding of the complex genetic variations and architecture of brain disorders; this will enable you to identify obstacles that represent genuine challenges to advancing research in this area.

Share and exchange new knowledge by submitting an abstract on any of the meeting's main themes.

Create networks and build partnerships with the potential to accelerate both your research, and your career.

If you are interested in participating in this meeting but are facing financial challenges, visit our website to explore the bursary options available.

Submit your abstract and register by 21 March 2023.

The conference will start at approximately 12:00 p.m. on 17 May 2022 and close at approximately 1:30 p.m. 19 May 2023. All times are in BST. See the time where you are here.
